This week in english class I learned a little more about academic writing and I looked over the class syllabus to understand what this semester will contain. Since it was the first week my class has not learned much yet, but this semester I would like to learn more about the fundamentals of writing long essays. I want to learn more about that subject so I am better prepared for college and the challenges it brings.
This week I used a rhetoric method when talking to my friends about good sandwich places to eat. I was trying to convince them that Jimmy Johns was a great sandwich place and that Schlotzskys was one of the worst sandwich places to eat. It turned into an argument as me and my friends began to make fun of one another based on our sandwich place preferences. We argued about if Schlotzskys was a good place to eat or not, me and my friends were 50/50 on the discussion.
